Those who have ridden with us in 2009 know of our support for an upcoming event called The Honor Run. This ride is made up of several rides, events and fundraisers all across the United States. Everything comes together here in Southern California on September 5th.

The Directors of the Ride for the Heart Foundation are supporting this event to the extent that we have offered help in terms of the maps they are planning to use, networking and PR. After all, it is our goal to support the hearts of everybody, and in this case we are “supporting the hearts of those who have supported us.”

This e-mail is meant to be a heads up on the impending pre-registration deadline.

The entire event is shaping up to be the hit of the summer. There are riders from all over the United States who are participating in various sections of the ride. Some are riding across their specific state, some are riding from the Wall in Washington DC to California, and there are even several who are actually riding from California to Washington DC and back to San Marcos, California. We, as Ride for the Heart riders, have the opportunity to ride on any section we would like, and specifically on the final day of this run by pre-registering before August 15th.

Your $35.00 pre-registration includes:

• Entrance to all planned rides and events associated with The Honor Run (cross country or local)
• Event/Ride Pin
• Event Tee Shirt
• Lunch at the end location: Oakley worldwide headquarters in Foothill Ranch, California.

The registration fee after August 15th will change to $45.00 with no guarantee of a pin or tee shirt.

Please feel free to forward this e-mail and flyer to your friends. If you would like to pre-register immediately, please click on The Honor Run. Once at the home page of The Honor Run, click on the yellow button to the left hand side that says Register.

When you register (by mail or on-line), please put that you ride with The Ride for the Heart Foundation in the Club Affiliation box, The Honor Run will be awarding a check for $500.00 to the group that brings the greatest number of riders to the event. Let’s show all the riders who attend on the 5th of September where the “real” riders are in the United States.

On September 5th, at the end location, the The Ride for the Heart Foundation will give a check to The Honor Run group. As will all rider-generated donations given to The Ride for the Heart 100% of your money will go to their cause.
